SCOTT FISHER
Scott Fisher is an American pop troubadour whose sound suggests a modern mix of Steely Dan, Bob Marley and Jack Johnson. His current release “Step into the Future” is charging up the Triple A radio charts and has earned stellar reviews in the national press. Fisher, a Portland, Oregon native, learned to speak French from his foreign diplomat mother and spent summers in Paris and Bordeaux. From the start, Fisher’s small repertoire of French lyric pop songs helped advance his career. In 2002 he played official showcases for the French government at the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. In a departure from his signature style, Fisher recently composed and sang Bossa novas with French lyrics for the music soundtrack of The Last Word staring Winona Ryder, Wes Bentley and Ray Romano. The film debuted at Sundance and will be released later this year. On this tour Fisher is releasing a French language EP of those songs along with an English language music video shot in the French country side and directed by Joe Hendrick, cameraman for The OC, Numb3rs, Big Fish. www.myspace.com/ScottFisherBand |
